Ashley Smith Robinson, Atlanta’s Hostage Hero
Ashley Smith Robinson is known around the world as the single mother who, in March 2005, persuaded Atlanta’s Courtroom Killer Brian Nichols to surrender to police by reading to him from The Purpose Driven Life book. Nichols called Ashley “an angel sent from God”, but, ironically, it was Ashley’s less-than-angelic past that allowed her to convince him to face justice.
Through her keynote presentation, her book, Unlikely Angel: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Hostage Hero, and an upcoming movie scheduled to begin filming in May 2011, Ashley shares her story to help unlikely angels everywhere find hope. More information about Ashley’s story is available online at:
